I am the BasicGov's web marketing guy. What kind of job is that you say? Well, it is the best job I've ever had and I love it. I get lots of variety, as it is a bunch of different jobs all rolled into one.
I spend time researching the web for the latest trends in web, social media, product promotion and of course, our competition ;) From time to time, I like to exercise my imagination and creativity so I do development and creative work too. SEO and AdWords are another part of my job. However, what I enjoy most is finding and implementing tools and ways to communicate online and build our community. All of this has to be measured so I do a lot of tracking, statistics and analyze.
My job is pretty cool! I've worked in the IT for more than 10 years in various fields: Internet, marine industry, multimedia, healthcare, defense, tourism, show business, and a few others. I had positions starting with development, project management, creative design, marketing, and social media.
I've became a strong supporter of open source and free culture, a passion that put me in charge with chairing eLiberatica IT Conference and traveling to Europe in the summers.
In my hours away from BasicGov, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife and our kids. I like good movies, meeting people, traveling, outdoor activities and I pray for time to read books. And of course I blog sometimes; here and under my personal blog ;)
