JOB PURPOSE:

This role’s top priority is to drive the revenue goals of the Company by positioning our product as the best solution to achieve our customer’s vision of success. Reporting to the President, the Business Development Executive works with customers and partners to identify state and local government agencies who are a good candidate for our product, and progress those deals through the sales pipeline to closure.  As we are rapidly scaling our business, we are looking for an individual contributor that can roll up their sleeves and contribute to our growth, as we will invest in their career growth with the company.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a high-volume and fast-paced position. The ideal candidate will thrive if they have worked in this setting before. The ideal candidate not only has excellent writing skills but strong interpersonal skills to build rapport across the company with various departments and team members.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Driving quarterly and annual revenue targets for US central territory sales, by:
    • Owning your pipeline to ensure long term, consistent performance in quarterly/annual quota achievement
    • Building a comprehensive territory plan that outlines strategy to secure new prospects
    • Generating leads, qualifying and managing them appropriately
    • Identify and build relationships with essential decision makers in target permitting and licensing organizations
    • Closing contracts and transitioning opportunities to the implementation / solutions teams to move forward
    • Accurately forecasting opportunities for a rolling 18-month cycle
  • Learn and maintain expert knowledge of the BasicGov products, the permitting and licensing industry, competition, market happenings and trends, and the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Working with key technology and system integration partners, and expanding our footprint with them
  • Efficiently, creatively and competently managing roadblocks
  • Other related duties as required

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • 5+ years of experience selling enterprise wide solutions (both software and services) to U.S. state and local government agencies
  • Undergraduate Degree
  • Proven record of sales success and industry domain knowledge – a track record of quota achievement and an established network of State and Local government contacts, plus an understanding of the personas in these organizations, specifically in the area of permitting, licensing or regulatory enforcement
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent presentation skills
  • Strong client relationship management and customer service skills – solution oriented
  • Ability to build a shared understanding of customer needs and motivations among members of cross-functional teams
  • Energetic and creative
  • Curious with excellent listening skills
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude and work independently with little guidance in a fast paced, lean, changing environment
  • Familiarity with Cloud Computing and SaaS is an asset

JOB PURPOSE:

Please note this is a 12 month contract role, covering a maternity leave.

BasicGov is looking to add an Intermediate QA Analyst to our development team to help drive quality within our product suite. Please note his is a 12 month contract role covering a maternity leave. The Intermediate QA Analyst will not only be responsible for setting test automation standards within our team but also the leader for ensuring that our automation process is in alignment with our QA strategy and Agile development approach.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

You are an analytical person with the ability to pick things up quickly with experience delivering solutions that hundreds of thousands of people actually use. You have exceptional attention to detail and you’ll let nothing past when it comes to delivering a quality product. Key Responsibilities Include:

  1.  Review functional and design specifications.
  2. Develop test strategies/test plans.
  3. Design, develop and manage manual test cases and suites
  4. Perform regression testing to ensure product changes have been implemented successfully.
  5. Attend product meetings and initiate follow-up actions when appropriate
  6. Serve on teams with other staff to ensure communications channels and messaging strategies are consistent across the organization.
  7. Report and track defects and work closely with staff in defect resolution.
  8. Collaborate with the QA Manager and development team to innovate, improve and implement our existing QA processes
  9. Lead the design and development of automation test cases and suites using Selenium and JMeter
  10. Work in partnership with the project managers, and development teams during the development, test, and launch phases of the software development and release cycle.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems
  • Minimum 4+ years’ experience testing web-based solutions developed within an Agile software development cycle.
  • 4+ years’ experience creating automation and performance test suites for Enterprise web applications
  • Expert knowledge with the following tools and technologies (JavaScript, Selenium, POM, Java, Test NG, Maven, Jenkins, JMeter, SQL)
  • Salesforce experience is a bonus

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Enhance, develop new and support applications on the Salesforce platform.
  2. Translate user stories into technical design specifications for web service integrations, object-oriented classes, and event triggers.
  3. Attend Agile/Scrum stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives to plan, design, code and review development tasks.
  4. Create visual representations of logical business processes using UML.
  5. Be a master of load balancing your availability to stakeholders for day-to-day activities and release deadlines.
  6. Suggest improvements to the development process by engagement and feedback within the development team or with management.
  7. Work with the CTO, Scrum Master, and Software Architect to drive solutions through to successful implementation.
  8. Providing mentorship to other members of the development team.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • BSc or BEng in computer sciences.
    Experience in relating to all phases of SDLC.
  • 5 – 10 years of experience working with cloud web-based technologies.
  • Proficiency in client web development technologies (Javascript frameworks, cross-browser/cross-domain) and server-side code such as Java, C#, Python or Ruby.
  • Experience writing web RESTful services.
  • Experience developing using the Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Ability to pick up new languages quickly and enthusiasm for learning new Salesforce and industry technologies.
  • Excellent researching and analyzing skills.
